Artist Bio

Lulu Geraghty is a multidisciplinary artist based in Magandjin (Brisbane).  Her sculptural and installation works are characteristically conceptual and whimsical, often incorporating familiar objects in strange context – challenging perspectives through humour and curiosity.

Geraghty’s art practice responds to social justice and environmental concerns; themes informed by decades working as a social worker. Despite some heavy themes, her practice is centrally optimistic – motivated by the enduring good-will of people in community, and the potential for art to invite openness, hope and connection.

She is currently completing a Bachelor of Visual Art at QCAD, Griffith University, and was awarded the QCAD Billie Hall Bursary in 2024.   In recent years, Geraghty has exhibited in group shows at Side Gallery, Brisbane (Tenfold, 2025), Wangaratta Art Gallery, Victoria (Petite Miniature Textiles, 2022) and Gallery Erato, Seattle, US (Seattle Erotic Art Festival, 2020).
